Mark your Calendars!! The dates for SDPHC's 12th Anniversary Party at Campland by the Bay have been set for the weekend of September 21/22!!

While the San Diego Veterans Homeless Shelter is closing until the winter, they are still in need of, and we are still collecting, over the counter medicines - aspirin, antacids, pain aids (aspirin, Advil, etc.), cold remedies, shoes, jeans and clothing. They also collect women's and children's clothing and are always in need of new socks! You may bring your items to SDPHC meeting or gathering. You may also contact Errol Samuelson at sdprthd@aol.com phone 858-527-1569 and he will arrange to pick the items up. Please remember that this is one of our favorite adopted charities and that we do collect for them all year.

Wednesday, May 23 • 5:oopm Tailgating Rock Bottom style 401 G Street in the Gaslamp Come hang with Johnny O and the Rock Bottom crew in the Starlight Loft for a special San Diego Padres pre-game tailgate party. Party starts at 5:30 PM Game time is at 7:05 pm and our hometown heroes are taking on the Cubs! Cost for this ballpark-style party is $35 and includes a Carne Asada Taco Buffet with all the fixings, King Crab legs, Johnny O's handcrafted brews and a ticket to the game! Sunday June 3 Rock and Roll Marathon. We are waaaaaaay behind in volunteers. So far only 60. That is 25-30 people short of what we need to manage 40 tables. We have enough people for 4:30am, just people for the 6am slot. We should be done by 11am since they're opening Morena blvd at 10:45am. John Bowe is playing the music again. Volunteers will receive a Rock and Roll Marathon T-shirt, a free ticket to a Sunday evening concert featuring Seal, playing at Cox arena at SDSU, and discount tickets to the Padres game. Last year we won $1000 for 2nd place for best water station. And we have some stiff competition this year from the boy scouts. Wear your Hawaiian gear and leis!! Chuck Butler and Linda Olson will be heading this event. For three of the last 4 years, we have had the best water stop on the course; that is because we have the best volunteers. Saturday June 9 SDPHC Annual Charity Pub Crawl. Thank You All! Our Pub Crawl in now SOLD OUT!!! We are accepting "stand by" reservations in case we have any cancellations. If you would like to be on the stand by list, please email Janice' janice@sdphc.org. DO NOT mail in your application or money until you have been confirmed. If you are not on the Pub Crawl, please join for the conclusion of the Pub Crawl (pretty entertaining!) and the start of our Official Parrot Head Happy Hour at Paradise Lounge 2732 Midway Drive at 6:00 PM -9:00PM. Great Burgers + Drinks. Entertainment by John Bowe. We will also have a raffle and Silent Auction for our Charity, Challenged America! Come on out and have some phun! See you there!
